Review:
Talk about an appropriate title. This is a collection of 11 short stories Directed by indie stalwart Jim Jarmusch (Strangers in Paradise, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai), which has been made over the last 18 years, all of which include two Pld i more characters just to sit at the table, the conversion of ... Yes, coffee and cigarettes. In the hands of a lesser director could be very boring, but Jarmusch is a master of subtle kick and a great deadpan humor. This may be one of the funniest movies you've ever seen someone cracks a smile. Almost all of the play, which adds a meta-theatrical, slightly surreal touch to it all. One of my favorite stories is when too enthusiastic, Alfred Molina has a surprise in store calmly arrogant fellow actor Steve Coogan, and a great person, that ur Cate Blanchett plays both herself and her jealous cousin Shelby. Then this is where Tom Waits and Iggy Pop dive bar to meet to discuss things and have a smoke (to celebrate quitting smoking), Jack and Meg White of White Stripes experimenting with Tesla coil and the funniest cast RZA and GZA Wu-Tang Clan to share a few areas , Some applications of downtime, all fo; staff, Bill Murray. I also like the Spike Lees one of the two siblings, Joie and Cinque dealing with invasive waiter (Steve Buscemi funny). Almost all the songs are great, but there are three that are very beautiful, and needless to forget, and they are all in a row, which disrupts the flow of plastic. When the three were taken out, Coffee and Cigarettes would be almost perfect, but still very good. And these three are out of the way in the first half, anyway. In the first hour the film is mostly just so much fun. A serious, deadpan, B & W comedy like strangers in paradise. But if it goes forward, and the strange relationship stories, it seems to have suddenly dreamy depth to it. Most especially if the story of two old men in a dark room (Bill Rice and Taylor Mead) lifetime coffee feeling itll last forever, Waiting for Godot is a special find, and eventually form a full account of each of existential sadness. It was at that moment that I realized that I had not just a string of jokey orginally a short story, but a string of jokey stories that say a lot about human nature and life in general. And if that is not enough to interest you, how often do you get to see Tom Waits and Iggy Pop to talk about? Or, RZA, GZA and Bill Murray?
